Meet Our Coaches

Coach Chris
Welcome to Coach Chris Confidence (CCC)! Our success is driven by the eagerness of our students to learn from and trust our dedicated coaching staff.
At CCC, we teach water safety, confidence, and more to all ages and levels. Every non-swimmer that takes private lessons at CCC learns what to do if they accidentally fall into the water: roll on their back, kick to the side, and pull themselves out of the water. After students are safe in the water, we teach backstroke, freestyle, breaststroke, treading water, and diving. We teach students from frightened to advanced and from age 3 to adult.
Locally owned swim school & locally developed curriculum, CCC has blossomed over the years, growing to 20 summer coaches and teaching over 25,000 lessons to over 2,200 students. We teach private swim lessons 7 days a week all year round. Thank you to our coaches for their confident instruction and thank you to our students and their families for your trust and support.

Coach Ann
As a young child, I always wanted to be in a pool. By the time I was 5, I was already on a swim team. I swam for a few different swim teams and still compete now. As a senior in high school, I was one of the captains for our team and was recognized by the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association as an Academic All-American athlete. When I’m not swimming I like to work out, spend time with friends, and relax at home. I’m so excited to help you start your journey in becoming safe and confident in the water. See you at the pool!

Coach Ava
Hi! I am Coach Ava. I attend Mechanicsburg Area High. My love of water began when I participated in swimming lessons at 7 years old. My love for swimming started when I joined the swim team at 8 years old and then started USA swimming shortly after that. I was a lifeguard at the Mechanicsburg area pool and I taught swim lessons at Keystone Aquatics. For the past few years, I also swam competitively at Keystone Aquatics but I recently joined Cumberland Valley Aquatics Club. I like swimming in the ocean when I go to the beach. I love hanging out with my friends and family. I really enjoy watching people develop confidence in themselves because it is such a great trait to have in life. I enjoy working with and meeting new people. I am excited to share my passion for water with my students!

Coach Audrey
Hi, I’m Coach Audrey! I started swimming competitively at age 7, and to say that was the best decision of my life is an understatement. I am going into my sophomore year at Cal U, where I am pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with concentration in law and justice, and continuing my swimming career. I specialize in breaststroke and individual medley. Outside the pool I enjoy reading, spending time with family and friends, and my two dogs.

Coach Bella
Hi, I’m Coach Bella! I attend Messiah University where I am studying as a Biomedical Engineering major, and I am planning to minor in music. I have been swimming since I was 5. I began to swim competitively for the East Pennsboro Aquatics Club and continued into my high years. In my free time, I like to play tennis (I am currently playing for Messiah’s tennis team), read, and spend time with my friends and family. I have previously worked for the YMCA, and I am super excited to work at CCC! I can’t wait to meet you and your child!

Coach Berenice
Hi, my name is Berenice and I have been swimming competitively since I was 8 years old and have always loved being in the water. I have swum for multiple teams and coaches and been able to learn so much from them, which I hope to reciprocate on the children I teach. I am currently a part of the Cumberland Valley High School team and am a co-captain. I tutor and work with refugee children to help them thrive in school. I have worked as a lifeguard for two years and continue to do so.
Apart from swimming I crochet, read, cook, and sometimes run in my free time. I enjoy working with children and seeing them grow and gain confidence.

Coach Kasey
I started lifeguarding at my community pool in Marysville. I found I loved water! My first triathlon, found me diving off the Cape May-Lewes Ferry into the Atlantic Ocean. I kept one of my grandfather’s books, The Power of Positive Thinking, in my locker for daily inspiration. I trained for this giant task the same way I teach my swim lessons, day by day and step by step, with persistence and perseverance.
Outside of CCC, I love to write, play tennis, and play the piano for my grandmother. I enjoy the company of dogs immensely. I am an active community volunteer. To spend time with children and share my passion for goal achievement is a blessing! I am so happy to help create confidence in the water!

She has been playing water polo for seven years and was also a captain for the Cumberland Valley High School Water Polo team in 2021. Maddie has been a volunteer swim coach for Corey Pelow and East Pennsboro Aquatic Club. In her free time, she loves to play water polo, draw and paint, watch TV and spend time with her friends and family. I’ve grown up swimming at my local community pool from a young age, where I eventually became a lifeguard and then a head lifeguard this past summer. I continue to work as a lifeguard at the Carlisle YMCA over the school year, and am also a part of the Carlisle High School swim team. I enjoy walking in the woods, playing tennis with friends, reading, and camping. I look forward to making progress with you and your child!

Coach Sammie
Hello, my name is Sammie Noble and I have been swimming ever since I can remember. I started swimming competitively when I was 11. I have swam with many different teams and clubs, and am currently swimming for Cumberland Valley and the West Shore YMCA. Outside of the water I am a lifeguard, and I also really love cooking, baking, and spending time with my friends. I am involved in many different volunteer programs and clubs. I can’t wait to meet you and teach your children how to swim and feel more comfortable and confident in the water!

Coach Scott
For the past 15 years I have watched and marveled at my son swimming. He is now swimming for a college team and his love of the water has rubbed off on me and led me to become a coach for Coach Chris Confidence. Outside of teaching private lessons, I am a sixth-grade reading teacher. My bachelor’s degrees are in psychology and social work, and I have a master’s degree in child development from Tufts University in Boston, MA.
I enjoy traveling, reading, spending time with my friends and family, playing piano, singing, and catching up on a good Netflix series in my free time. I am looking forward to helping students of all ages become safe and confident swimmers!
