Our Coaches

Coach Chris

Welcome to Coach Chris Confidence (CCC)!  Our success is driven by the eagerness of our students to learn from and trust our dedicated coaching staff.

At CCC, we teach water safety, confidence, and more to all ages and levels.  Every non-swimmer that takes private lessons at CCC learns what to do if they accidentally fall into the water: roll on their back, kick to the side, and pull themselves out of the water.  After students are safe in the water, we teach backstroke, freestyle, breaststroke, treading water, and diving. We teach students from frightened to advanced and from age 3 to adult.

CCC has blossomed over the years, growing to 18 summer coaches and teaching over 25,000 lessons to over 2,200 students. We teach private swim lessons from 9am-9:30pm 7 days a week during the summer.  Thank you to our coaches for their confident instruction and thank you to our students and their families for your trust and support.

Coach Ann

As a young child, I always wanted to be in a pool. By the time I was 5, I was already on a swim team. I swam for a few different swim teams and still compete now.  As a senior in high school, I was one of the captains for our team and was recognized by the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association as an Academic All-American athlete. When I’m not swimming I like to work out, spend time with friends, and relax at home. I’m so excited to help you start your journey in becoming safe and confident in the water. See you at the pool!

Coach Audrey

Hi, I’m Coach Audrey! I started swimming competitively at age 7, and to say that was the best decision of my life is an understatement.  I am going into my sophomore year at Cal U, where I am pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with concentration in law and justice, and continuing my swimming career. I specialize in breaststroke and individual medley. Outside the pool I enjoy reading, spending time with family and friends, and my two dogs.

Coach Bella

Hi, I’m Coach Bella! I am currently beginning my freshmen year at Messiah University where I am studying as a Biomedical Engineering major, and I am planning to minor in music. I have been swimming since I was 5.  I began to swim competitively for the East Pennsboro Aquatics Club and continued into my high years.  In my free time, I like to play tennis (I am currently playing for Messiah’s tennis team), read, and spend time with my friends and family. I have previously worked for the YMCA, and I am super excited to work at CCC! I can’t wait to meet you and your child!

Coach Berenice

Hi, my name is Berenice and I have been swimming competitively since I was 8 years old and have always loved being in the water. I have swum for multiple teams and coaches and been able to learn so much from them, which I hope to reciprocate on the children I teach. I am currently a part of the Cumberland Valley High School team and am a co-captain. I tutor and work with refugee children to help them thrive in school. I have worked as a lifeguard for two years and continue to do so.

Apart from swimming I crochet, read, cook, and sometimes run in my free time. I enjoy working with children and seeing them grow and gain confidence.

Coach Diane

I love being part of the CCC team! I am the office manager for CCC. I recently retired from teaching elementary school students technology.  I have 8 grandchildren and love traveling and gardening.  CCC is a perfect fit as I am still working with children and technology. Happy Swimming!

Coach Dylan

Hi! My name is Coach Dylan. I am a senior at Susquenita High School where I play field hockey and run track. I have been a lifeguard for 3 years and a swim lesson instructor for 2 years at the Marysville Pool. I am very outgoing and really enjoy meeting new people. I like to read, craft, play piano and host themed parties. I look forward to working with you and your children!

Coach Jennifer

Coach Jennifer started swimming at age 6 with Cumberland Valley Aquatic Club. She was also part of the Cumberland Valley High School team where she was named captain her junior year and was part of the state-qualifying team. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, spending time outside, and being around her friends and family. She loves being in the water helping others, and is excited to be teaching for CCC!

Coach Kasey

One of my first jobs was as a lifeguard at my community pool in Marysville. I found I loved being near the water and took great pride in keeping the pool safe for everyone. My love for the water never ceased.

My first triathlon, an Olympic one of all things, found me diving off the Cape May-Lewes Ferry into the Atlantic Ocean. I kept one of my grandfather’s books, The Power of Positive Thinking, in my locker for daily inspiration. I trained for this giant task the same way I teach my swim lessons, day by day and step by step, with persistence and perseverance. Along the way I have achieved other great successes – recently, placing second in the Harrisburg Mile, deadlifting 225 pounds, and being a yoga teacher with a solid following.

Outside of CCC, I love to write, play tennis, and play the piano for my grandmother. I enjoy the company of dogs immensely. I am an active community volunteer. To spend time with children and share my passion for goal achievement is a blessing! I am so happy to help create confidence in the water!

Coach Kasi

Hello, my name is Coach Kasi! I am currently a graduate student at Messiah University and am pursuing my master’s degree in occupational therapy. I swam competitively for 12 years from ages 5-17 both through high school and club teams. I also played on Messiah’s tennis team all four years of college and enjoy other activities such as hiking and running. I have given swimming lessons both in group and private settings since high school through the Hanover YMCA, and am very excited to work with swimmers of all ages to help them develop their skills and confidence in the water!

Coach Maddie

Coach Maddie has always loved the water. She has been swimming since eight years old. She has been a part of East Pennsboro Aquatic Club, Cumberland Valley Aquatic Club, and was on the Cumberland Valley High School Swim team for three years where she was a part of the state-qualifying team in 2020.  She has been playing water polo for seven years and was also a captain for the Cumberland Valley High School Water Polo team in 2021. Maddie has been a volunteer swim coach for Corey Pelow and East Pennsboro Aquatic Club. In her free time, she loves to play water polo, draw and paint, watch TV and spend time with her friends and family. She is excited to work and help teach young kids to feel confident and safe in the water!

Coach Mary Beth

Coach MaryBeth has loved being in the water since she was a young girl. Her first job as a lifeguard and swim coach was in Carlisle at the YMCA and Country Club. She continued working as a swim coach throughout her education at Bloomsburg University. Exercise Science and an internship with local high school and elementary swim teams furthered her knowledge in swimming programs and techniques. During her time owning and operating a small gym she has trained others to compete in triathlons and open water swims. MaryBeth is very excited to join us at Coach Chris Confidence and looks forward to teaching others how to be strong, brave and have fun in the water!

Coach Miranda

Coach Miranda has always loved the water. She was on swim team as a kid, and as an adult, competed in triathlons and participated on the Masters swim team. She started teaching lessons through the Y as a teen, and has continued teaching and coaching ever since. When she’s not in the water, Coach Miranda enjoys hanging out in the woods with her husband and 3 kids, running, knitting, music, baking, and gardening.

Coach Sammie

Hello, my name is Sammie Noble and I have been swimming ever since I can remember. I started swimming competitively when I was 11. I have swam with many different teams and clubs, and am currently swimming for Cumberland Valley and the West Shore YMCA. Outside of the water I am a lifeguard, and I also really love cooking, baking, and spending time with my friends. I am involved in many different volunteer programs and clubs. I can’t wait to meet you and teach your children how to swim and feel more comfortable and confident in the water!

Coach Sara

Hi! I’m Coach Sara! I first started learning to swim at the age of 3, as my dad was a competitive swimmer throughout his youth and collegiate years! I joined my first club team at age 6 and haven’t looked back since. I am currently a freshman at Saint Francis University where I am continuing my swimming career, specializing in the butterfly and individual medley events. In addition to swimming, I danced for 13 years along with doing track for 6 years. In high school I was a x6 state medalist and was recognized as a scholar athlete.

I have always had a passion for all things health and fitness, along with working with others, which has led me to choosing to study physical therapy with an exercise physiology minor. I have been teaching lessons since the age of 10 and lifeguarding for 5 years. Both positions have allowed me to work effectively with different kinds of people, and problem solve! I am so excited to use my skills and experience to help teach students essential water safety skills and the steps to becoming a great swimmer!

Coach Reece

Hi my name is Coach Reece! I am a senior at Carlisle High School this year. I’ve grown up swimming at my local community pool from a young age, where I eventually became a lifeguard and then a head lifeguard this past summer. I continue to work as a lifeguard at the Carlisle YMCA over the school year, and am also a part of the Carlisle High School swim team. I enjoy walking in the woods, playing tennis with friends, reading, and camping. I look forward to making progress with you and your child!

Coach Sam

Hi! My name is Coach Sam! I am currently a senior in high school at East Pennsboro Area High School and committed to swim the next four years at West Chester University where I will major in nursing.  I have been swimming since I was four years old. I swim for both the high school team and my club team.  I am a three time qualifier and finalist for Mid Penn, Districts, and States. When I’m not in the water teaching or training, I love to do arts and crafts, read, shop, and hang out with my friends and family. I am beyond excited to be a part of the CCC team and I cannot wait to meet you & your child and teach them the importance of water safety.

Coach Scott

For the past 15 years or so, I have watched and marveled at my son swimming in the water on various community, club, and school teams.  He is now swimming for a college team, and his love of the water has rubbed off on me and led me to become a coach for Coach Chris Confidence. Outside of teaching private lessons, I am a sixth-grade reading teacher.  For the past 17 years, I taught elementary school (2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades) and recently made the move to teaching at the middle school. My bachelor’s degrees are in psychology and social work from Elizabethtown College, and I have a master’s degree in child development from Tufts University in Boston, MA.

Growing up in central PA, I am very familiar with all the wonderful things that we have here to be involved in.  Traveling, reading, spending time with my friends and family, playing piano, singing, and catching up on a good Netflix series are all things that I enjoy doing in my free time. My own two children keep me busy with their sports and activities as well.  I am looking forward to helping students of all ages become safe and confident swimmers!

Coach Zoya

Hi! I’m Coach Zoya and I have been swimming competitively for the past 8 years. I specialized in IM and long distance freestyle. Outside of the water I focus on running my non-profit the Hikmah Foundation where I work with refugee children and children of conflict worldwide. This fall I will be attending the University of Pennsylvania to major in political science and be a member of their club swim team. I am excited for the opportunity to work with such amazing kids at CCC!
